I am the owner and director of Captain Jacks Tattoo and Body Piercing School, as well as a licensed instructor.

I live locally in Portland, Oregon and have been an established business owner for 10 years. I am well known and respected in the community.

I have been very successful in the tattoo/body piercing industry for 15 years, starting as a popular tattoo and piercing studio, before opening the school.

I opened the school in 2002 and this has been a huge success, as there are now many thriving tattoo and body piercing studios throughout Oregon (and beyond!) that all began as students here at Captain Jacks Tattoo and Body Piercing School! I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching my personal skills and successful knowledge of this trade!

On a personal level, I have a vast array of special interest and hobbies, beyond the tattoo/piercing industry, some of these being:

  • I am an avid traveler! I have traveled many parts of Europe. I love to travel with my wife!.
  • I also love to travel to many warm water beaches, Hawaii being my favorite!
  • I take special interest in motorcycles, particularly Harley Davidson's. I love to ride just as much as I can!
  • One of my favorite hobbies and pass time is rock collecting. I am more particular about where the rock came from, than what it looks like. I have a large collection in all sizes, shapes and colors, from many famous landmarks around the world!
  • And I take special interest in my 2 dogs; Joey and Chloe. They are loyal and unique dogs; I love to spend time with them!

Cyndi....

Hi! As you know  from the above mention that my name is Cyndi. I manage Captain Jack's along with instructing Continuing Education classes  and an on-site EMT. I teach American Heart Association CPR, both "Heart Saver" and "BLS" (for The Health Care Provider) levels and  I am also a state licensed nurse. I  absolutely LOVE all my duties & responsibilities that come with Captain Jack's and working with Captain Jack's crew!!

If you are interested in achieving your Continuing Education hours, or want to become AHA CPR and/or First Aid certified, Please call as we offer training at our studio/school as this counts as Continuing Education hours, per Oregon State requirements!

  

I am an artist of many talents, but only one action. That action would be tattooing, I love doing the darkest ideas with the friendly twists to the color blasting of graffiti to just your abnormal dementia of the cartoon industries. I am a clown at heart but a businessman first. Willing to work the ideas to your standards, come in with a thought leave with an enigma of an idea. The challenge that others deny is the ones I strive to accomplish. If there were words to describe myself, I would definitely be a Stale Gummy Bear.

 I’m the newest member of the Captain Jacks crew!
Originally from SF I moved to Portland 11 years ago and haven’t looked back. As a true lover of art, it was only natural that I gravitated towards tattooing because of its innate beauty and esoteric spiritual traditions. I’ve studied art since a child and have worked in the field of graphic design for 12 years before becoming a tattoo artist. I’ve challenged myself in a variety of different mediums but none more interesting or exciting than the art of tattooing. For me a tattoo is both fun and the ultimate expression of one’s aesthetic ideals and inner vision. Weather it be a simple kanji or an ornate half sleeve it all has value to me and speaks to the higher power in which we all share.
