Tattoo Artist
Through 210 hours of theory and 150 practical hours each artist will complete a minimum of 360 hours of training and 50 tattoo procedures. This training will allow the artist to graduate with the necessary credentials to become a state-licensed tattoo practitioner, upon successful completion of the State Board Exam. Training will be divided into two main disciplines, "Theory" and "Practical". Theory training will consist of 210 hours of combined bookwork, video, classroom and one-on-one staff training. Practical training will consist of 150 hours of hands-on experience provided with staff guidance and overview. Completion of these disciplines will provide the student with an in-depth understanding of the tattoo industry and Oregon State laws, rules and regulations. Other subjects to be covered include: history, basic art and design, tattoo equipment and supplies, safety, sanitation, sterilization, business operations and Oregon laws pertaining to the tattoo industry. Course completion will be based on state requirements in conjunction with the school's catalog requirements and each student's individual needs.

Body Piercing Technician
Through 120 hours of theory and 80 practical hours combined with 24 above the waist piercings Each Technician will complete a minimum of 200 hours of training. This training will allow the Technician to graduate with the necessary credentials to become a state-licensed Body Piercing Technician. Training will be divided into two main disciplines, "Theory" and "Practical". Theory training will consist of 120 hours of combined bookwork, video, classroom and one-on-one staff training. Practical training will consist of 80 hours of hands-on experience combined with learning 24 above the waist piercing with staff guidance and overview. Completion of these disciplines will provide the student with an in-depth understanding of the body piercing industry and Oregon State laws, rules and regulations. Other subjects to be covered include: history, equipment, supplies, safety, sanitation, sterilization, business operations and Oregon laws pertaining to the body piercing industry. Course completion will be based on Captain Jack's Tattoo and Body Piercing School LLC catalog requirements and each student's individual needs. Instructor/student ration is 1 to 4.
